The chateau had beautiful Christmas decorations!

Property was filled with beautiful decorations and furniture. Front stairs were very slippery

L'intérieur du manoir (c'en est un!) est spectaculaire, Lustres, dorures, escalier monumental et lits à baldaquin donnent un de charme surrané et romantique à l'endroit. Idéal pour un effet romantique en couple. C'est très bien situé sur la rue St-Jean à proximité du vieux Québec, accessible à pieds. La personne qui nous reçoit n'est présente qu'à certaines heures; il faut donc appeler avant l'arrivée pour organiser les choses. Attention! Le stationnement est à une dizaine de minutes de marche de l'hébergement, ce qui peut rendre la logistique compliquée. Plusieurs bons petits restos à proximité. Il faudrait que les hôtes fournissent un tapis antidérapant pour le bain, car la forme arrondie du bain le rend très glissant, très dangereux; j'ai failli me blesser 2 fois en prenant ma douche.

What an incredible building! And fabulous street!

The facility is in a somewhat sketchy looking neighborhood, but the main gate to Quebec City is only a 7 to 10 minute walk. The B and B itself is quite elegant, being decorated in the style of the late 1800s. The room we had was quite comfortable, but needed some minor maintenance. The sink and bathtub were very slow to drain. The breakfast was nice with fresh croissants and eggs cooked to order. All in all, I would rate this property as a 7 out of 10.

The housekeeper is not real friendly.

Bed was wonky, towels were thin, host was not very sociable
