Near Tram Apartment Okayama

For the very reasonable price paid this apartment was satisfactory. It had everything you might need in the way of equipment and was well located for using the tram. The host was very responsive and polite.

There was no signage in English that we could see at street level for either the building name or the apartment name, which made it difficult to identify once we had arrived in the location. We had to message the host to come get us from the street corner. The bedding was odd. Bottom sheet, pillowcases and duvet cover all made from a kind of stretchy towelling fabric, not pleasant to sleep in. The building lift was dirty and tatty, not very reassuring safety wise.

Very clean, spacious apartment in a good location of Okayama. Host was kind and explained everything with good communication. Travel with tram and bus is available very conveniently.

One bedroom does not have AC, but there is a fan instead.

Very spacious and clean. Plenty of clothes hanging equipment!! The pedestal fan was very soothing (there is air con but I prefer fans).

Perhaps it could do with a few more homey touches

Nice 2 bedroom appartment with comfortable beds. We took the tram to the appartment following the host's detailed instructions and it really is just across the road. There is a physical key to hand over which needs a bit of organising as the host does not live on the premises but he quickly responds to messages and we could check in without any hassle. There is a kitchen which we used for breakfast and take-aways but not for cooking. It seems fully equipped though. The host left a folder with instructions in English for the washing machine and other appliances as well as tips for restaurants etc. After check-in we walked almost everywhere. The appartment is fairly central and the station, the castle and garden are all within walking distance. We recommend walking along the canal to get to and from the station. We tried the little restaurant downstairs which was absolutely delicious. The style is Japanse with a twist/Japanes fusion. We were actually planning to go back there but unfortunately it closed on Sundays.

The building in which the appartment is located is a bit run down although not scary or nasty. The appartment itself is not modern but spotlessly clean.

Flat is clean, well located, with an affordable price for Okayama ! Owner is thoughtful, he sent useful information to reach the apartment and replied pretty fast when we had questions.

reasonable price compared to other properties and good amenities such as hair brush, tooth brush, and razor. late check out to 10:30am was good too.

Kept on hearing pigeons from the ventilator. I think they might live there…. the place was old but ok to stay for 4 nights.
