Stayed over night with my husband. No need fo drive as located opposite Taunton train station. Lovely decor massive clean and welcoming room and really friendly and helpful staff. Will be back

Spent a very pleasant hour having a drink as our train was delayed. Sophie was lovely, friendly & professional. Contemporary decor mixed with original features really well.

A charming hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms clean and fresh with cute decor. Beds comfortable with a soft mattress Heating very noisy during the night which disrupted our sleep frequently Coffee and milk for the room very poor quality Cooked breakfast very poor quality but coffee really nice from the dining room.

Breakfast was abysmal. Cold and badly cooked Trains rattle the windows through the night. No wardrobe in the room

Dirty carpet. Unabke to walk around room as it was toi small (baroiw gap at end of bed). Mo wvening meals. Desk hard to use because if large bin underneath.

Great breakfast. Love all the memorabilia of the railway. Perfect location

some noise coming from the station in the night. They may have been working on the line.

Have stayed at this hotel a few times as it is convenient for early morning trains, but if you arrive after c. 8pm it's a lottery as to whether you"ll be let in despite pre-booking. On two occasions I eventually got the night porter to let me in after knocking on various windows (doorbell didn't work). Most recently arrived and couldn't get in at all so had to stay elsewhere. Nobody around at all. I won't be staying again! It makes Fawtly Towers seem like a slick operation!
