The Great Western Hotel

Breakfast was good, the room was clean but basic and the bathroom was nearly as big as the bedroom 😊

Check in person was blunt and had obviously had never heard of the words, please or thank you. The hotel is looking a little tired and needs some money spent on it, and finally I booked 2 rooms, one with Booking.com for my wife and I for 2 nights at a cost of £209 and one, a bigger family room directly with the hotel, because it couldn’t be done on line, for 2 nights for £112.!! Moral of the story, book direct!

Great location for commuting, staff very friendly and loved that there was proper coffee in the room :)

Location excellent and breakfast very good. I know the staff are young but they were all a bit confused at breakfast and the young man looked like he hadnt showered for days and could do with a hair cut

very noisy outside at night due to the location, but that isnt your fault

Lovely boutique hotel based on GWR as it us opposite the railway station peaceful and lovely staff
