Repag Wayan Canggu Hostel

The room is standard as expected for the price but had everything you need. There is hot water!!! Regularly also! We have found this an issue in Canggu even with the higher priced hotels. The location is amazing ! You're out of the way of all the noise but so so close to everything. La brisa is opposite, one beach a 2 minute walk another 20 minutes. Soo many nice restaurants close by and markets. Its honestly the best location for quiet yet access! The staff are always friendly, washing is available for a small fee. Rooms are not cleaned daily but it was never a bother to ask for this to be done or clean towels or new bed linnen. For the price this is such a good deal, definitely better for back packers and budget style holidays but this does the job. I would come back here over the higher priced hotels I stayed in any day !

The bed wasn't that comfortable but I really can't complain considering the price. There were a fair amount of ants after the soap but again can't complain considering.

I would not recommend staying here. The rooms on the upper floor seem okay, but the three on the first floor are not acceptable. We were supposed to stay for four nights but checked out after one night. We even asked if we could have an upgrade to one of the upstairs rooms, but unfortunately, they were apparently all occupied. There was a strong smell of mold in the room and the walls looked like it as well, it seemed like they had just been painted over them, also the shower curtain was pretty disgusting. The towels were also stained unfortunately. I wish I could write a better review because the women have been quite nice, but unfortunately there is little good to say about our experience. We had a lot of mosquitoes in the room, so a mosquito net would have been very nice.

Location central, super close to beach and near various restaurants. Good value for the location.

I stayed in the "Jordan" private room. Mold on the wall. Water leaking from pipe below sink. Everytime water ran down sink, water would leak and form a puddle in front of shower. When raising the issue with the front desk, they offered to clean it and provide towels to soak up the puddle. Meanwhile, not fixing the issue with the pipe itself. Musty smell of moisture upon entering room, quickly get used to. Bathroom door doesn't close. Okay if you're solo, maybe not so if you're a couple.

Drinking water refilling station was inside the front office which closes down at night. No cold water available too. And i hope theres a common area where guests could meet since its a hostel. a pool area might also be nice.
