"Nice stop over point when travelling from East Midlands to Scotland."

Comfortable room. Good food at night and fabulous breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Bathroom was private but across the hall. It was not en suite.

"Lovely friendly stay"

Lovely pub, lovely people, lovely breakfast! Dog loved it as well!

Bathroom was across the landing but we knew about it and it was all good - they provided lovely dressing gowns and pub was quiet so no bother

"A Northumbrian overnight stay."

The welcome was first class.Very atmospheric old coaching inn with an excellent beer garden.Didnt eat dinner in the inn but the breakfast was plentiful,delicious and cooked to perfection.

We booked the French room and found out it didn't have an ensuite.The private bathroom was across the hallway which was a slight inconvenience.

Tankerville arms was an old fashioned pub no juke box no tv screens full of charm some great ornaments etc the food was of a very high standard the Guinness was the best I’ve ever tasted .All the staff were excellent nothing to much trouble would certainly recommend a visit .

We had a fabulous stay at the Tankerville Arms. The only problem was that we didn't stay longer. We stayed here because it is close to Anwick Castle and we visited there first. The welcome was great. The hosts were lovely throughout. The room that we stayed in was beyond expectations, we were grateful to have been upgraded, and it was exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed and more. The evening meal was generous and great quality as was breakfast. Honestly, we would have paid more because it is such good value. Hopefully we'll stay there again.

Rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Friendly, professional, and helpful staff Excellent food and service Would highly recommend staying here - extended our stay by an extra night, it was so enjoyable
