Breakfast was amazing but some of the dinner menu was unremarkable

Just choice of food and some of the dishes were very salty

"Exceptional stay !"

10.0

We were greeted with a lovely friendly welcome by Laura who made us feel right at home. Also we were delighted by our room which had many thoughtful little touches from a little fridge with treats and fresh milk to hand written little notes, bathrobes and more ! It was also spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfortable with beautiful bedding and lovely fluffy pillows. The aircon was a bonus too as the weather was very warm. We dined in the pub and I have to say our meal was excellent 👌 My seabass was cooked to perfection and my husbands steak pie was declared the best ! and he is a pie connoisseur!! We shared a cheeseboard which was very generous with delicious cheeses from a local dairy washed down with a glass of port. The breakfast was excellent also with a good choice of dishes and beautifully presented. The location is great as it's in a lovely quiet village ,so nice to relax in the beer garden after a busy day, but also near to Seahouses and Bamburgh for sightseeing. We were impressed with our stay at the Tankerville Arms, it's a beautiful historic building with so much character and the loveliest friendly staff you could wish for. We can't wait to go back and stay longer !

Honestly cannot fault this beautiful Inn

"A lovely stay in rural Northumberland !"

9.0

A wonderful special place to stay full of old world charm - lovely friendly helpful staff . The chef even cooked a sausage for my Cocker Spaniel for breakfast ! So Dog friendliness more that lip service ! It is a quiet rural location but on easy track of Alnwick and the Northumberland coast and a trip to the new Distillery at Wooler is a must !

The place is perfect ! So no comments
