The staff was very friendly and the service was great. We had a nice wine and good food at the restaurant. The restaurant staff was great. The only downfall was they ran out of some of the favorite entrees by 5:00

"Luxury feel at a reasonable price."

The hotel was clean and new. Everything felt luxurious especially after a stay in a rundown beach motel! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurants were near by.

Navigating the area around the hotel was a challenge. We ended up coming around the back way to get in. GPS may have been at fault because the instruction to get there were confusing. Also, the Wifi signal in the hotel wasn't very strong. I was unable to reach several web sites from my tablet.

Housekeeping was fair at best. We were there almost 4 days before Housekeeping came to our room and that was only after I mentioned it to the front desk. We had to go to front desk every morning to get coffee for our room. We probably would stay at this location again.

"Building is being used as college dorms"

We were supposed to stay here. When we checked in the room we were given had a door that stuck so badly it took all our body weight to open or close it. Then I was talking with a nice young man who said he was helping people move in. This hotel is being used as college dorms! I don’t want to stay in dorms at my age.

"Salute to Towanda and the staff at Double Tree Hotel/Norfolk Airport…Top Notch Customer Service!"

I love staying at this hotel. The staff is always friendly, the rooms are always clean and we our time here. With that, I wanted to recognize Towanda. Every time I come to town and she is working she is always helpful. Tonight she went out of her way to help me with an issue that I had. Without hesitation she ensured that my concern was addressed and the issue was resolved. That’s what I call customer service! She is yet another reason why I enjoy staying at this hotel. Great job Towanda, your efforts are appreciated!
