Olissippo Lapa Palace – The Leading Hotels of the World

Amazing!

The elegance, location, staff, and food were marvelous. In my many years of travel, this is one of the greatest hotels we have stayed at anywhere in the world. Having dinner on the hotel’s balcony under a full moon overlooking the port of Lisbon is a moment we will never forget.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The accommodations were magnificent. The hotel is not in the middle of everything in town. However, we didn’t miss being in the center of the city. We used taxi to get to the hotel from the Santa Apolonia train station late in the evening for check in, and we used one again to get to the airport very early in the morning on departure. The front desk arranged for the taxi pickup at the hotel at 5 AM on the day of departure. Other than that we used bus to get into town and back without any problems. The hotel grounds are a relaxing sanctuary. Every detail was taken care of, down to how ripe the fruits were at the breakfast buffet. Most of the time you get varying degrees of fruit ripeness at breakfast buffets. Here, all the fruits served were at their peak ripeness. The restaurant, Lapa, has a superb tasting menu. Overall we were treated like royalty at this Palace. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

All of it! Hotel was great, staff exceptional, they went the extra mile with everything, comfiest sunbeds, spa was excellent too, the food was also fabulous.
