Hopbine House

Location was ok, we walked into town - but that is 2 miles. Parking on site was good. Communication was good. Bed was comfy.

If you have arachnophobia or dust allergies - not advisable! Reception, corridors and bedroom/bathroom full of spiders. I was a nervous wreck, and ended up leaving at 4am as couldn't sleep due to sneezing from dust and feeling like spiders were crawling over me. Hadn't had a clean in a looooong time (proper clean) and then bathroom whereas was lovely - was not clean, and sealant around the bath covered in mould and dirty. Very musty smell in the room which you cannot get out of your nose - and a gap under the door where you can see people walking past. Keysafe is for all bedrooms are accessible to all - which is a little unnerving! Reception and all corridors full of spiders - i was a nervous wreck! Poor husband had to deal with me jumping around like a nervous cat! Sadly, you can see it was once a beautiful establishment, but really lacks tlc, cleanliness and care.

Check in via phone meant arrival time could be flexible.

Room was very hot. Would have been good to have a fan of some description and perhaps a hairdryer too. Those weren't big deals though. My biggest dislike was that the room faced a very small "courtyard" on the ground floor where other visitors would go to smoke, so despite the room itself being no smoking, as an asthmatic this meant that I had to keep the windows shut, so was unable to let any air in.

Clean, good sized room. Nice staff.

I like the fact had patio doors which you could walk out onto the garden and field. Also like the bath which you could use as a hot tub. It was lovely room and very spacious. Would definitely think about visiting again when I'm back down this area. Very Friendly staff here.

I was little disappointed with the bath as I had to clean it before I used it. Had dirt in bath and notice some on the top area of the bath. Bath also had parts missing so wasn't getting the full experience with the bath. Also not all the lights wasn't working or missing bulbs.
