Driftwood Beach Lodge

Loved the location, the pool, the aircon.

No warm water for showering, sometimes it was needed.

Booked and paid. 1 day before our arrival the lodge informed us that they can no longer accommodate us and we had to cancel our booking. It was the evening before our flight the next morning and could not book elsewhere. I insisted that they arrange for alternative accommodation which they did. However this was a big let down and I am sure other travellers would not have been as accommodating as we were.

Good Location close to beach. Pool ok size for dips. Staff accomodating.

Food service very slow and a few dishes not available.

The staff were very nice and the food was very good and I liked that there were vegan options. I loved staying there and I’d definitely go there again! It was peaceful and quiet. I had the best time:))

We stayed more than a week in there and it was a blast! Best vacation ever. The location is so amazing if you look for relaxing time, the beach and swimming pool overlooking it, it’s amazing. The rooms were super clean. Manager and All the staff was always super nice, friendly and arranging. We will definitly come back if we go to Zanzibar!

This a little piece of paradise.Great staff ,lovely food and drink. Would highly recommend this place and would happily return. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Thanks to Abdul and his team for making our time at Driftwood so enjoyable.

I never ever write a negative review unless i have to. Unfortunately this was one of my worst stays yet! Pool is dirty so you cannot use it( its green and blurry) the wifi doesnt work from the bedroom (i was bedroom 4) nor did my mobile data work either. My bed sheets were dirty(a males hair and stains of some dirt) and i asked for them to be changed which they did but it was still dirty(i let it be) then as i was laying in the bed 4/5 little worms started crawling on me and they were all over the bed. The power generator was terrible so if there is a power outage you are suffering for some time. I instantly left when i had originally paid for 4 nights and went to loop hotel (9 mins away which was perfect) i was so shocked for my experience as all the reviews were great but i have never had such an experience.
