Haya Guest House

I felt very cosy I wish to live in the guest house. I liked the Turkish lights The lady was polite and sweet. She did me a massive favor and helped us both out. We had the double bedroom it was right by the bathroom which was easier for me. I would love to stay again. I watched Netflix. It was nice and warm. Beautiful view outside at night. Very quiet relaxing. Clean and comfortable. Lots of closet space.

I have had multiple stays. Very clean and great facilities. Large room and bathroom. Good breakfast, and very friendly.

Clean room and great TV.

The bed was very uncomfortable and no side tables in my room.

large room breakfast was ok host was chatty during breakfast continental breakfast with option of fried eggs. host offered to help with luggage on arrival and leaving

BIG issues with SAFETY in OUR ROOM. We were on 2nd floor. We are senior travellers. 1. Smoke detector disconnected in our bedroom...found body of unit in cupboard. PHOTO 2. Smoke detector disconnected in stairwell 3. No lighting in stairwells...upper stairwell only lit by small lamp on landing...extremely poor lighting for a steep staircase. PHOTO 4. lower stairwell dimly lit by chandlier and 1 candle in downstairs hallway 5. Candle burning in jar on carpeted floor at base of stairs. PHOTO - Camera Flash gives the appearance of more light in stairwell than actually was. 6. No fire escape route other than descending dimly lit flights of stairs..OR JUMPING OUT WINDOW!!!! 7. Fire escape plan on back of door was illegible. 8. Microwave and mini fridge had to be connected to a multiple socket extension cord that barely reached the appliances, causing the cord to be suspended above the floor and the plug not safely pushed into the wall socket, unless we moved the appliances forward. 9. The electric jug had to use this multi socket also, so had to be placed on the floor for boiling. PHOTO Other issues... 1. No power points at the bed as stated in facilities list of property. 2. WiFi speed was poor to none. The download speed came nowhere near what was stated in description of property. 3. No mention of Assessibility in property description. Our room on 2nd floor up 2 flights of steep stairs. 4. The front yard contained rubbish. PHOTO 5. Street parking was extremely tight/on footpath and not necessarily directly outside the property. 6. One bedroom sliding cuoboard door was off its bottom track. 7. Bathroom LEDs..only 5 out of 10 working 8. Bedroom LEDs ...1 not working 9. Stacker shelves in bathroom with half used toothpaste, cleaning liquid and couple other used items...as if belonging to someone else 10. Locking mechanism had been completely removed from bathroom door...only the 2 knobs remained 11. Cobwebs above wardrobe to ceiling

The host was welcoming, the rooms were clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was simple but good. The location was well suited to our needs working in Sandwell.

It was a shared bathroom that was clean and well-appointed but obviously not as ideal as an ensuite.
