Embassy Suites Baltimore - North/Hunt Valley

The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Breakfast was good.

The pool, the main reason we chose to stay here, was very dirty (bugs, tissues or toilet paper in the water-couldn’t tell which) and the water was ice cold. The rooms also felt dated and for $200 a night, I expected the rooms to feel a bit more up-kept. I also think having to pay for parking at $10 a night is ridiculous. If this hotel were in the city and parking was hard to come by, I would get it. But to be in hunt valley and charge for parking I think is just silly.

The room was clean. The bathroom is huge and the chair and sofa are so comfortable. This hotel has 5he best breakfast hands down. There is a lot of stores nearby.

They need better pillows. The pillows are just flat.

Not having to pay to park car

The hotel was very clean. That atmosphere was nice. The omelet bar was very good.

Paying $12 per day for parking is insane. Most hotels only charge for parking if they are downtown. This hotel is not. Parking should be free for guests. Also the elevators are extremely slow.

To be fair, the rooms were very clean, and the complimentary breakfast was actually very good—definitely a highlight of the stay.

First, we were never informed about a $10 per night parking fee until arrival. That should be disclosed upfront or built into the room rate. As Hilton members, we’ve stayed at other locations (like Harrisburg) where parking is validated, so this felt inconsistent and frustrating. We specifically chose this hotel because it advertised a pool and hot tub, but when we arrived, the hot tub was out of service due to construction. There was no prior notice, no discount, and no real effort to make up for it—just a “you still have the pool” response, which was disappointing since that was a key reason we booked. The elevators were a major issue. We were on the 7th floor, and one elevator would go up to the 8th floor and then back down just to let us off. Out of multiple elevators, only one was consistently working. We ended up using the stairs most of the time because it was faster and less stressful.

The location was convenient for our particular situation, the staff in general were nice and friendly with a good disposition to engage with customers.

It needs some serious attention to some areas and in particular to the way elevators work. We decided to use the stairs due to the fact that that they were not working properly. The door to our room was hard to open because it seemed like it was off it’s hinges. We saw trays with leftovers on the hotel corridor which were left for extended periods. The hotel SHOULD advise that there is a parking charge of $10 per night. We complained about this so we were not charged. Don’t understand why they charge hotel guests.
