Lochwood Guest House Wing

Prachtige ligging aan het meer, fantastisch mooi huis en dito kamer. Het ontbijt was het beste, lekkerste, meest uitgebreide van onze Schotlandreis. Vriendelijke gastheer.

The lovely house was amazing the view to die for and the viewpoint was amazing to sit there with a glass of wine and chill and see the seals too.

There really was nothing to dislike loved all of our stay would return in a heartbeat it’s not often in these times you can rate a place and Host so highly.

Breakfast fab cooked - selection of different things together - so different. location great- seal watching on the loch and so pretty. walking good and woods near. village not too far and great base to travel around. Staff very knowledgeable and nothing too much trouble.

Absolutely stunning location, the room was beautiful and the whole propery was spotlessly clean. We were able to walk out onto decking directly from patio doors in our room. The room was tastefully furnished, bed was comfortable and the whole vibe of the house was just lovely. The breakfast we got was very nice and there was complete peace and quiet throughout our stay, which was bliss. There is a bird table in the grounds and it was just filled with birds the whole time we were there. We saw a red squirrel from our room and also saw otters and seals. If you love peace and quiet and the great outdoors, there is nothing you wouldn't enjoy about this place. Marcin was very pleasant, friendly and helpful and the dog, Storm, is just stunning - and very well behaved.

Not really a complaint or "something we didn't like" as such but the wifi was patchy, particularly at night so we couldn't watch the TV but the weather was really bad which may have contributed to it. This is NOT a reflection on the property as there is nothing that can be done about that. We didn't get a cooked breakfast on the second day of our stay as the host was away but a continental breakfast selection was provided. If you don't drive or you are a real "foodie" this is not the place for you as you are literally miles from anywhere, there is no option of food within the property and no self catering facilities. If you want to eat, you need to book meals in advance with establishments that are a good bit away from the property. Wasn't an issue for us but something to watch out for if you like eating out at different places local to where you are staying or love a takeaway - there are none! Having said that, there is a reason this property has won awards! Would certainly recommend it to friends and family.

Stunning location, immersed in nature. Fab host. The most comfy bed ever! Loved the passion and expert knowledge our host offered with regard to the nature he works so hard to protect. Wish we could have stayed longer & seen more.

Breakfast. (Sorry). I know most people would love the originality of the Polish style breakfast, but it wasn’t for us. Not keen on onion and experimental food - had hoped for standard Scottish fare. Having said that - I know our lovely host has won awards for spectacular food - we’re just fussy old-fashioned oldies!

La ubicación y el entorno geniales. La atención del personal magnífica.

A ház gyönyörű helyen fekszik, ahová egy egysávos út vezet. A házigazda nagyon kedves, a közeli faluban 7-8 perc kocsiútra van egy remek étterem. A reggeli csodálatos!
