Marcin was super friendly and even waited for me to arrive after the official check in time to show me around. The location of the property is amazing! Loch view and out in nature, very quiet, very beautiful!

The room and especially the bathroom and kitchen weren't super clean (also small things like kitchen towels would be useful if you do want to provide a fully functioning kitchen...), the shower doors don't work/don't close properly, the door to the room is very difficult and loud to open or close and gets stuck and I noticed on the last day that my door lock didn't even work the entire time.

Location and views were beautiful. However, overpriced. The room size was great, very clean, but lacked finesse.

There was nothing Scottish about the property or food. When you travel very far to visit Scotland you expect a Scottish experience. Small things, like having Scottish source products would help improve the experience. The towels were very smelly (mould like smell). The shower was very cramped and awkward. The breakfast was bizarre, and I would encourage the establishment to add a Scottish flare to the culinary experience. Or just keep things basic to suit the general public.

Internet didn’t work. Communal fridge had bad food in it. Check in time of 4 o’clock is pretty late.

Ontzettend mooie locatie. Vanuit onze kamer met uitzicht op het meer, zagen we soms zeehonden voorbij komen. Ruime, schone kamer met een heerlijk bed (beste van de 7 accommodaties waar we deze vakantie zijn geweest). De omgeving is schitterend, mooie wandeling gemaakt op aanraden van de eigenaar Marcin. Goed ontbijt en als hoogtepunt meegenomen door Marcin op zijn boot voor een tocht op het meer, dit was echt geweldig! Onze kinderen hebben hier ook erg van genoten!

The rating looked excellent, however we were disappointed by the frosty welcome, as if we were disrupting! This was followed by a request of breakfast time, ultimately fixed by the owner, not by us guests, so no choice, he was too busy before 9.15. The room was ok, soundproofing was lacking and we could hear other guests next door. Additionally, for a quality establishment and at the price, I expected more than cheap, scratchy, polyester bedsheets. The wifi was patchy despite requesting a better one… Altogether ok, but I don’t understand the high ratings.

Reality really did not match the reviews

Es ist ein Hideaway, wirklich ruhig und schön, direkt am Loch Goil, wir haben mehrfach am Tag Seehunde gesehen, das Wasser ist herrlich kühl aber sauber, ich empfehle aber Badeschuhe wegen der Steine/Algen und eventuell ein Schwimmshirt oder einen (Neopren-)shorty für kälteempfindiche Personen. Das Zimmer war geschmackvoll eingerichtet, geräumig und funktionell, das Bad eher klein, insbesondere die Dusche. Alles ist sehr sauber. Die Anfahrt ist über eine kleine, etwas schmalere Straße, man braucht jedenfalls ein Auto, auch Lochgoilhead, der nächste Ort, ist ca. 10-15 Min entfernt mit dem Auto. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht, ist hier richtig.

Für uns hat an sich alles gut gepasst, das warme Frühstück, das von anderen Gästen hier gelobt wird, war mir persönlich etwas zu üppig/fleischlastig, aber man muss es ja nicht essen und ich hätte mir anstelle des Plunders (Muffins, Schokorollen) Toast gewünscht, aber das ist wirklich eine Kleinigkeit, es gibt einen Kühlschrank auf der Etage, man kann sich also auch selbst Getränke oder andere Kleinigkeiten in die Unterkunft mitbringen.
