"It’s badly in need of a refresh"

It’s about time Marriott sucked it up and renovated the rooms. We’ve been staying here for years and nothing has changed. Except everything in the room has gotten older and more abused. The property has a great location. That’s why we keep coming. But the rooms badly need a refresh. On top of that, Bonvoy members used to get a free buffet or full menu breakfast in lieu of points but now that’s gone. We did buy a $10 each upgrade to one of the breakfast options and it was delicious. As usual, the staff was very welcoming.

"Good facilities and great staff make this a perfect place to unwind"

We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful front desk team who presented us with free bottles of chilled water as soon as we entered (which given it was over 100 outside was greatly enjoyed). That level of service continued from all the staff we engaged with throughout our stay - in the bar and at the front desk. The room was huge, the bed comfortable and the pool deck clean and refreshing. Everything you want from Old Scottsdale is just a few minutes walk; away.

After dealing with Phoenix traffic and roads this was an absolute oasis
