Scottsdale Marriott Old Town

Nice but the rooms need updating. Very old and small.

Amazing customer service. Hotel is in middle of old town. Walking distance. Front desk well trained and rooms very nice and super clean. rooms have also living room small one but super organized and shower big enough and super clean. I recommend this hotel for sure

Be ready for a daily $30 parking fee plus a daily $25 destination fee. No breakfast is included. Lots of noise from the pool and in the hall. We were on the 4th floor overlooking the pool, which they consider an upgrade, but it only added to the noise. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Desk Staff were courteous. Accommodations were average. Housekeeping did a nice job of tidying up daily. Great location for walking Old Town, but be ready for a loud stay.

Great location, close to everything!

This was probably the most disappointing stay at a Marriott ever. The rooms are dated in every way. Guessing that there has not been a major refresh at the hotel since the 1980s. The carpet and drapes are worn. The bathtub has fixtures that are clearly from the 80s and the shower took forever to warm up. That sometime is ok if the staff is pleasant. However, we had saved the 25$ resort credit for after we went out Saturday. We returned at 1030 Saturday night and they had already shut the bar down. When we asked when it shuts down we were basically told whenever they feel like it. Then we asked if we could use it for room service and were told that room service was not operating either. Then we asked if we could use it at the market - it isn't applicable to the market. No apologies- no interest in guest satisfaction. Just the old hard facts I guess. Checkout was today. My daughter went downstairs to figure out breakfast and grabbed a plate before she realized she didn't want to pay the 30$. The woman working rudely questioned her being at the breakfast and pointed out if it wasn't checkout she could have used the resort credit (if only we could have saved the one from saturday. Bottom line - zero about this hotel was a positive memory. Worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. It is shocking that this is a corporate managed hotel and not a franchise. I would expect more from the corporation.

If you are an elite member and wants to enjoy the complimentary breakfast, go somewhere else. As of 1/1/2025, new policy for complimentary "Continental Breakfast" only gives you access to cereals, fruits, bread and muffins. To have access to the hot food, you'll need to pay $10 extra. Even lesser Marriott hotels can do better than this.
