Scottsdale Marriott Old Town

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days at the start of our holiday. We were very pleased with the service in this hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Gema, Liz and Margie who made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them. It was our Golden Wedding Anniversary while we were there and the staff secretly put Prosecco, chocolate coated strawberries and a congratulations card in our room. We were very touched by this kind gesture. Our suite was very nice. The food in the restaurant/bar was excellent. A nice surprise was the outdoor pool area which was spacious and well maintained. It was my birthday the room was amazing the front desk lady Connie was amazing. She gave me the royal treatment. She had a bottle of champagne and chocolate cover strawberry sent up to my room. Really made my birthday so special.

We really enjoy our stay

This hotel is an 'all suites property' in the heart of Scottsdale. Underground parking is available at a fee. The location is perfect to explore Scottsdale on foot, almost all major sights are accessible within a 5 to 20 minutes walk. Rooms are a bit dated but the hotel is kept clean and everything was working just fine. Free laundry is available with washer and dryers at the property. Breakfast is available on the main floor, the restaurant offers both indoor- and outdoor seating. We did not have time to use the pool. The location is really the attraction of this property, it will need some upgrades to justify the room rates in the medium term.

This is a fine hotel, although the rooms are nothing special beyond a standard 3 start hotel; the reason for 4 stars is the great location in Old Town, and very friendly staff. Nice lobby and bar/Starbucks as well. One warning is that if you use the underground parking, the exit is curved and quite tight, and navigating a larger vehicle such as an SUV was more difficult than it should be.

Amazing location

The location to old town was great. Perfect to walk. The guy at the bar was also great.

This property is not well maintained. It looks like a prison. The paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom and there was mold. It looks like they just aren’t investing in maintenance of the building…
