"Built for a Prince. (after all the Empress is down the street)"

Late spring. Lots of flowers. Clean town. Friendly, but reserved folks. Requires lots of walking. The hotel was beautiful. There was a marathon happening. The grounds of the hotel were well maintained. The hotel stands out especially in the evening. The hotel was closer to another hotel that served afternoon tea. it was also near (although it did require lots of walking) to get to the colorful Fisherman's Wharf. Breakfast was good.

Lack of a concierge. Front desk couldn't assist with my return ticket via bus and ferry. Not enough time to use the pool. But I had a good view from the balcony. If I knew that the hotel was not to near the bus drop off, I might have stayed elsewhere. There I would have had closer access to the park, and the rest of the quaint town. Also, I could have visited the museum.

"Staff, location, top tier"

The staff was spot on. They anticipated guest needs and delivered with being asked. Been a while since I have had that experience. Example was waiter in restaurant delivering a plate, noticing some water spilled on tabletop and with missing a beat wiped the spill before I could mention it. Again the small things were done as well as the big things. Thank you

"Polite, informative, engaging staff in a beautiful harbor view in an old meets new setting."

Central location. Spaceous. Nice view of the harbor and peek a boo view of the Government Building. Walking distance to the Provincial Museum, Empress, Water Taxi, Red Fish, Blue Fish dock and Il Terazzo. The on site restaurant, Fathom, serves a juicy hamburger and avocado toast. Self park was easy and the spaces wide.

Lots of tourist traffic and daytime harbor noise - a small negative for a prime harbor location.
