Quality Inn Pittsburgh Airport

The rooms are cozy. Large bathroom and included a fridge and microwave. Great for when you have a longer stay. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and made check in easy and quick. It is close to the highway too! Oakdale has some great restaurants close to the property that are a must try when you are here. House keeping did a great job as well!

The park lot is a mess!! There is not much parking for a large property. There is a very popular bar and grill next door and their customers took up all of the parking lot one night. I contacted the front desk about the issue and she asked me to park in the field behind the building and in the opposite side of the property from where our room was. I told her no that was not going to work for us. We had to park in the grass median on the property instead of a parking spot. She assured me we would not get towed or ticketed. At 2:00 am when the bar closed there was finally spots and we moved our car to an open spot. While this property is only 12 miles from the convention center and downtown. That does not account for the traffic!! That 12 miles becomes 47 minute drive at a couple times in the day. So not the best place if you need to commute to downtown daily for your trip.

The non smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. So bad that my eyes burnt! I asked for air fresheners which I was given. The air conditioner had a slimy wet substance which I wiped off with a washcloth. No food options,

Breakfast was excellent. Was more than expected. Great variety. Staff was very helpful.

The airport shuttle was easy to find. All the staff were courteous. Our room was on the second floor and since you have no elevator, it was a little more difficult for my wife to transverse the stairs. However, if I had made a note of that per our reservation, perhaps they would’ve given us a Ground floor room. Our room was old and outdated. And it did smell old as well. It was fairly clean for an old room! The complementary breakfast was good.
