Wyndham Garden Fort Walton Beach - Fully Renovated

We checked in and weren’t told about not having hot water. We all had to take freezing cold showers after spending the day at the beach

The beach was great, close to things yo do and eat. Room was clean

Only 1 elevator worked, the room door had to slam to shut, the bathroom door wouldnt shut all the way.

Not worth the money. Not clean, tons of damage and dead bugs everywhere, paper thin walls/floors, and so much more. Will not be back. The only positive thing was the lovely lady Janay at the front desk that went above and beyond to get us checked in early because we drove down from GA and got there at 7am, but waited on the beach for our room. She recognized this and got us in our room before 12pm.

Well, the location Is perfect, lots of parking, although it isn't free. Good aircon, ok wifi. The beach is literally one minute away and it's a nice walk. The beach itself is absolutely stunning, White sand and Clear water. the balcony was lovely and the views stunning. Now the bad, we had no hot water for three days and the hotel couldn't care any less. The staff showed no empathy, offered us no solution to move up to a different room as they were busy. Didn't even offer us a room to shower in. They made out it was just us but several people had the issue and looking at TripAdvisor, it's a common theme. We were in block C on the sixth floor. We also had lightbulbs out that we reported and Were never replaced, got to the point where I took the bulbs to reception and asked for replacements. they couldn't give them, but they assured us someone would do it but they didn't. The maintenance engineers speak bad speak English, the staff from reception are different every time you go there and the manager hides away. The hotel seemed very dirty in communal areas, I get that they're by a beach and it's hard to maintain but other hotels don't have this issue The rooms are very small, I'm from Europe so used to small rooms but usually American bedrooms are bigger. As a family of four, there was no room to put cases, and put anything up or swing a cat Literally. The swimming pool water quality was poor, it was very cloudy. Staff need to go on customer service training and complaint handling courses. I booked through hotels.com and they wont do a single thing as time has passed (4 days lol) I have emailed the manager but I'm not holding my breath that she replies.

NO HOT water thru Monday-Thursday; During the rainstorm the water came thru the balcony door & side window…maintenance came & looked at it but looked at the air conditioner for some reason 🤷🏼‍♂️

Great location. Right on the beach.

The rooms in the building we were in were NOT newly renovated. We checked in, got the key cards, and then were told our building did not have hot water! However, we could use a room in the main hotel building. CRAZY! for that price! 1 of our rooms had cockroaches, so they did find that group a different room, with hot water, by the way. The hallway was dirty, dark, and paint chipped. The beds were OK. This was an absolute nightmare! I should be refunded!

It’s really cool that they have two pools, right on the beach, breakfast options, and lunch and dinner options.

My only complaint was the bed was a little too hard but still worth it because we had a great time.
