Affordable very clean on the beach

It was all good

My wife and I stayed at the Wyndham Garden in Fort Walton, Florida. Our stay was from May 23 through May 26. To say this hotel was a nightmare is an understatement. I'll start out with minor issues such as a leaking and clogged sink, a leaking shower, doors that would not close, including the bathroom door, dead batteries in the remote control, dirty property, especially around the pools and severe leak around the patio door, which left a large puddle in our room during a bad storm. These issues are nothing compared to having NO HOT WATER from Sunday afternoon through our checkout on Tuesday. This not only affected our room but the entire building as well. The hotel manager was conveniently absent from Sunday to Tuesday. After getting no answers from the clueless front desk personnel regarding the problem with zero hot water and trying to talk to the manager with no luck, we finally sent the manager an email, followed by a phone call after getting no response to my email. The manager had the gall to tell me, she hates her job and she wishes there was something she could do, but her hands are tied and she was told from her superiors not to refund any portion of anyone's hotel room charges. We are livid and told the manager we will reach out to Wyndham Corporate and lodge a formal complaint. The resolution the front desk offered was to waive our $10 per day parking fee. Are you freaking kidding me. This is not right and we're not going away quietly. So in conclusion, please do yourself a favor and stay away from this horrible hotel, you've been warned ⚠️

Avoid this hotel at all costs Our first room 422 in C buiding had outdoor access and the floor was wet very wet the entire time we were there and slippery, and no hot water. So the next morning they moved us to D Building 5th floor. Rooms nice but elevator barely works. Stops every floor just because and if I didn't push button fast enough it would go down before going up.

Our 1st room was OK, or so we thought. When we returned from dinner, after walking a mile there and a mile back in 85% humidity, we found or floor was sopping wet. We dropped ed it off with towels to no avail. All I wanted was a shower, but, alas we had NO HOT WATER, so a cold shower it was. The next morning we were able to move to 2 separate rooms in a building where the elevator had a mind of it’s own. I would not recommend this hotel.

My room was big and very clean with great views of the gulf.

Someone was smoking in a balcony and that meant i couldn't be on my balcony.

Right on the beach with everything you need. Clean and nice!
