Comfort Inn Splash Harbor

We arrived around 5pm. Check in was easy, and our room appeared clean, although outdated. The water in the toilet was a light yellow/ brown color, which remained even after multiple flushes- absolutely disgusting. We went down to Splash Harbor almost immediately. The pool water was so gross! It was very cloudy. There were areas of the pool with very little water flow where all sorts of nasty things would accumulate. There was supposed to be someone “monitoring” the pool area, but I doubt it- by the time we left around 6pm, the pool was way overcrowded- and was still that way at 9pm. Our room overlooked the pool area. There was so much noise! There had obviously been no attempts to do anything to block even a tiny amount of the noise. It sounded like our window was open to the pool, as loud as it was. Pool stays open until 10, but did close promptly. At 7am, we started hearing the door to the stairwell slamming- it was like they made no effort to slow the door closure so it wouldn’t slam (the facility could have installed something to prevent the door constantly slamming). I looked out at the pool, hoping it wouldn’t slam look better after time to filter and get chemicals, but the water looked exactly the same. Still cloudy and nasty looking! The space for free breakfast was very tiny. The food options were good- cereal, muffins, eggs, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt. Checkout time is 11. We were told you cannot swim past your checkout time (they have paper wristbands that are colored, and the color changes at 11, so then you are not allowed in the pool area anymore). We were not offered to purchase additional swim time as some other reviewers mentioned, so not sure if they still do that.

We had an amazing stay at Comfort Inn Splash Harbor in Bellville! The hotel was spotless, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The indoor waterpark was a huge hit with the kids — safe, fun, and perfectly maintained. Breakfast had plenty of options and was fresh every morning. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this hotel for families looking for a fun, relaxing getaway! We will definitely be coming back!

The waterpark was so fun! It was also very clean and well taken care of. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a great stay.

The pool is nice. The rooms are clean. The staff is polite and professional.

I didn't expect it, but there's no elevator in the hotel. I had to carry a large suitcase in one hand and a sleeping child in the other up to the second floor.

Loved the pool area! Breakfast was nice!

Beds were super uncomfortable and the pool towels were more like hand towels.
