Best Western Mystic Hotel

The kids like the outdoor pool. Don't expect too much from the complimentary breakfast.

Let me start by saying that pictures posted are extremely misleading. The room size is much smaller than depicted, which is especially Important when booking for a family of four. The pool is also much smaller than shown and in need of repairs. The railing into the pool is loose and there’s a pipe coming out of the deck right by the stairs that’s a major hazard. Overall the stay was okay, food and cleanliness was average. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Don’t get a room on the first floor here. The noise from the second floor will keep you up all night.

The room had a terrible odor and the ac did not cool off the room. The room smelled like mildew and was very humid. The beds were uncomfortable and we had the worst nights sleep. Our clothing, luggage, and every item left smelling like mildew. There was also paint peeling off in the bathroom on the wall and moldings. Very disappointed Will never stay there again.

Staff very friendly. Had the large room. Fit extended family. Location was good.

Please don't let the "older" reviews scare you away from the facility. The hotel has been renovated and is very nice. The breakfast was good (scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, waffles, muffins, bread and bagels) though I do wish the staff would be around to wipe down tables after they were used. We didn't use the pool but lots of folks did. The parking was good. The only issue with the room was that the toilet was slow. You had to hold down the handle until everything was flushed away. There was only 1 restaurant/bar within walking distance that we frequented nightly. Locals were great and gave us some sound advice on where to eat and go. Enjoyed our weekend away in Mystic. Thanks.

We only stayed for one night but were very satisfied. We heard a very loud dog barking in the room across the hall right after we got to our room. The staff immediately changed our room and spoke to the dog owners about leaving their dog unattended. The Queen room type was not spacious, but fine for us. The shower was good. The free breakfast was actually quite good; scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, muffins, juice, cereal, etc. were tasty and not stale like you normally find with free hotel breakfast bakery items. There is also a pool, which we did not have time to use. The only negative was a bumpy road leading to the hotel which needs to be repaved.
