Nice location and staff was super nice

Elevator was broken so you had to wait forever for the one that worked. The roomed smelled and there were cockroaches. Also had to have the room keys redone 2 times. Stains on the couch.

Expedia sold me a room that was not available at the hotel.

Unfortunately due to the systems being down, my reservation was canceled for the representative could not check me in.

The key system was down, so I had to have someone walk me to my room to let me in. Fortunately, they issued a refund after I explained that I wasn’t ok with the lack of key situation.

Bathroom smells like sewage, can’t keep door open let alone be in there. Overall room smells like mold. Can see water damage in rooms. Outside of room wallpaper rolled up. Furniture is nasty and dirty. Have coffee stirs left out as we checked in. Both phones in room don’t work. Only one elevator In service. Went down to ask for another room, said sold out since we are with large group. Not helpful or friendly at all.

Cold water did not work in the shower and bury one of our children, we alerted the hotel to this and they did not apologize. The AC in our room also did not work. Ultimately we moved to a new room, but their key card system went down and we were not issued any keys. One elevator was out of order. Rooms and furniture was run down. Will not stay here again.

Breakfast was amazing, staff was nice.

This is my first time staying at a Spark hotel, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s a minimalist hotel that has been renovated with a modern look, which I liked. The room was clean and plenty big for one person - and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was quite friendly. If you’re looking for an elaborate or hot breakfast, this isn’t your place. However, it was perfect for me. If you take the train to Williamsburg, plan to use Uber or Lyft to get around because the hotel is surrounded by four lane roads. Regardless, it’s close to Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William and Mary.
