Very comfortable - lovely staff

I go for a walk in shower next time!

Breakfast and location was brilliant.

I always have showers, and not baths. Apart from that it was ideal

This is the third occasion we have stayed at The Recruiting Sergeant and hopefully it won't be the last. We received a prompt and friendly check-in on arrival and were shown to our first-floor room which was a good size, as was the bathroom. Both were spotless and were kept that way for the duration of our 4 night stay. Overlooking the road caused us no concerns. Great choice of good quality food for breakfast and we had our evening meal there on 3 of the 4 nights. Superb choice of food and wine which us well-cooked, plentiful, and served by well-mannered and good-humoured staff.

Unfortunaetly my stay was in the middle of a heatwave. Room effectivly being an attic room was very hot and a bit uncomfortable because of it. Room at front of building, windows wide open so lots of traffic noise which turned it self off by midnight and kicked in again at 6. So that diddn't cause me to much disturbance

would have preferred a shower not a bath

We had a fabulous stay in a lovely room with a gorgeous bath. The Breakfast was enormous and very tasty There was plenty of choice for every taste.
