Snug Harbor Resort and Marina

Honestly, this place is amazing. The view is incredible as you wake up to the sunlight sparkling on the water. We had a daily seal sightings in the harbor as we drank our morning coffee. Everything was beautifully done in our accommodations. Don’ hesitate to book this place!

A perfect spot on San Juan Island! Adorable cottages, comfortable accommodations and amazing views. Beautiful grounds with gorgeous plantings. We absolutely love it! We had four adults and two kids in a two bedroom cottage.

My best friend and I stayed here for a long weekend, and it was exactly what we were looking for: quiet, safe, and beautiful sunsets on the harbor. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we loved sitting in the chairs scattered around the lawn, relaxing in the sun. Being right on the water, we saw so many birds! They also let you take out kayaks for free and provide free firewood for campfires. Such a cozy place. Highly recommend! :)

The property is beautiful! Remote but lovely, with most everything one needs. Except for housekeeping. For the price of about $500.00/ night, I expect the room to be cleaned daily. Trash thrown out, dishes to be put in the dishwasher. Just a little tidying up. Before we arrived, communication was great, but once we were there, it is pretty much self serve. I wrote 2 e mails during our stay of 2 nights, they were not answered.

This is a great resort located on the northwest point of the island, close to Roche Harbor and short drive to Friday Harbor. The resort itself has private marina and includes small gift & grocery store, coffee place and kayaks for guest to use free of charge. We rented waterfront one bedroom cabin, which was conveniently located next to the shop and outdoor fire pits. We had couple adirondack chairs and grill outside to use as well. Inside, we had spacious living room & kitchen, small bedroom and beautiful bathroom with stand up shower. Wi-Fi worked great throughout the resort. The resort is quite secluded and quiet, perfect if you looking to relax and just enjoy some peace in nature.

We stayed 3 nights in a rustic/modern stand alone cabin and enjoyed it immensely. Deer, rabbits, and birds visited- charming. Beds are comfortable, bathroom a bit cramped, but clean and well kept. Kitchen really is fully equipped. The quiet is amazing. Hosts were exceptionally welcoming. Seals hunting fish in the evening were fun to watch from comfortable seats on the shore. Wifi was reliable, except for one evening. Location is a 15 minute drive (beautiful!) across the island from town, where restaurants range from OK to very good. A couple of interesting stores/ groceries took care of food. There's a great bookstore (measure of a great town for us). We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Snug Harbor Resort is in a beautiful, quiet setting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is about a 20-minute drive from the Friday Harbor Ferry Terminal and is conveniently located near the island's parks, hiking trails, farms, and more. We stayed in one of the cabins, and it was great--wonderful views, clean, well-equipped with pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker, toaster, tea kettle, etc. There are Adirondack chairs, cornhole, kayaks, firepits, and other amenities by the waterfront. It was a great place to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary.

This is a charming location and very peaceful and beautiful location. A real gem of a find.
