A delightful stop during a long journey. Very comfortable room and squeaky clean en suite bathroom. Friendly, pleasant staff and tasty food. We loved the excellent village shop and found two marvellous plant nurseries nearby. It was just the right distance off the M6.

Fabulous! A last minute decision to have a night in the Lake District, led us to find this gem. From the warm welcome on arrival, to the beautiful room, we were smitten! Lovely welcome tray in the room, including chocolate brownies, fresh milk and chilled cans of water in a small fridge. A very comfortable king sized bed, beautiful quality fixtures and fittings and a really lovely bathroom with complimentary bath products. We ate in the pub, excellent, burger a big hit! After a restful nights sleep we enjoyed a generous breakfast, full English! Great location and have already recommended to friends!

Fantastic place to stay, it’s our second visit and was just as good as the first time we stayed earlier this year. Gorgeous rooms, lovely touches, fresh coffee, brownies, bath house products in the bathroom. We had a lovely evening meal and a fantastic breakfast. We will be back again. Thank you.

A lovely stay in this small but stylish Inn. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room is small, but beautifully furnished. Breakfast very nice.

Great find, we stayed here one night on our way back from the Highlands. Defo would stay again. Staff, the room and the meal were excellent .

What attention to detail. Everything about the room, the food, the setup. Excellent! Just a lovely get away for 2 and if you want a beer in the bar with a nice selection of locals, even better. There is genuine quality through out and down to the ground coffee for the Cafetiere, the little chocolate brownies, the milk in little bottles and the little fridge with a selection of waters… When you are taken care of you know it and we are looking forward to staying again soon.
