Romantic Gem in Alfama

Location, pretty much the only thing the property had going for it.

Overwhelming damp, massively overpriced.

It was newly renovated; the location was fantastic with amenities and fantastic restaurants nearby; comfortable bed; and the shower water pressure was incredible.

The sofa isn’t super comfortable (missing a cushion?).

Quiet location, near the twice weekly market and some great restaurants! (Taberna Sal Grosso is a standout!)

Nothing comes to mind.

The apartment was clean, all the toiletries provided . The kitchen was well equiped. The apartment had Air Con which was agreat as it was 37C when we arrived in Lisbon. There was good communication from the host and no complains. We had clean towels and it was very spacious for the 3 of us. the bed was very comformatable and centrally located.

The place is modern-looking. Location is good.

When you first enter the property, a horrible humid smell hits you. Luckily there are windows and doors that can be opened to air out the apartment. However, the smell is quite pungent. Every day, we had to work hard to air out the apartment seeing as this smell is stuck in the walls. After we left, everything in our suitcases smelled like this. The house has very little natural light as it is stuck in between some other buildings. Luckily, they have plenty of light inside of the apartment at least. We were left with only one roll of toiletpaper, which was strange. We booked for four people so we would’ve expected for the sofabed to have been made when we arrived at midnight. However, this was not the case. The duvet was not even in the cover and the pillows were not in the pillowcases. We had to do all of this ourselves. For the fact that you pay extra to stay there with 4 people, you would’ve expected for at least the duvet to be put inside the cover before arrival. The bed in the main bedroom was not very comfortable and neither was the sofabed. We had one pillow per person and when we asked for an extra pillow (seeing as one of us was sick and wanted to sleep a bit more elevated), we were told this would be an extra charge.

comfy bed, great shower, excellent kitchen and living area, very well equipped, super location

TV was very small and Netflix wouldn’t connect. manager took no interest in rectifying this issue. Apartment was dark with minimal natural light and the outdoor area that was promoted is not very practical.
