GK Airport Suites - Free Shuttle

I would have given this property all excellents except for the fact that the “free” transportation to the property doesn’t run often enough. Our flight was delayed by a half hour, the shuttle would only wait an extra 10 minutes for us so we missed that free ride. The next free one offered was going to be 2 hours later, unacceptable! We decided to take a taxi since the property was listed as only 10 minutes away. Yes, it’s relatively close to the airport but the taxi driver charged us 35 euros for the ride! I was livid The reason I chose this property was for the free shuttle service and it wasn’t free at all. The shuttle is a large van that transports people to several different destinations around the airport I gather, in the morning when we were taken back to the airport there were already 10 people in the van. The space was huge, the bed very comfortable and the pillows were the best we had in Greece. The shower is separate from the toilet and sink so it was great for my husband and I to get ready in the morning. We let ourselves in after getting a code to unlock the keys. We never saw a human but the person texting me was quick with responses. About a 3 block walk away was a restaurant were we had a decent meal our last night in Greecec.

Place is clean and spacious. It’s a converted office space and has few furnishings. Mattresses are too firm, specially for side sleepers. The neighborhood is quiet and check in is all on line, but works well. Shuttles work great, on time and flexible.

This was an odd place - converted commercial/office space very sparsely furnished and pretty depressing, but very clean w/ good AC and quiet neighborhood with cafe one block away for morning coffee. The mattress was terrible and the couch as well. It was OK for just one night before departing Athena as very close to the airport and free shuttle was definitely a plus

We stayed here for 5 hours for a long layover. It was great for that purpose.

This property felt like a bate and switch. The rooms had exactly what they said would be there but it’s obviously a converted office building. The surrounding neighborhood was odd, many abandoned lots interspersed with apartments. We didn’t feel unsafe, just felt off.The rooms were clean but needed paint. The furnishings were sparse at best . Check in instructions came via What’s App. Fortunately from other reviews I knew to look for them. The first shuttle driver was extremely rude! Our return driver left us at arrivals. We had to navigate our way to departures dragging our luggage. Overall - this was a place to sleep before a morning flight but i would not stay here again
