Days Inn by Wyndham Rome Downtown

Someone (possibly) connected to an employee at hotel was parked in car at the front of the hotel for hours blaring car radio so loud the rap music was vibrating the our room window. We finally called the front desk about 1:30 am - who had to be aware of it because it was unbearably loud.

This hotel was utterly disgusting. We live in Cobb county my daughter works at Atrium Floyd. Because of the weather event I came with her. I goggled closest hotel to Atrium and this place came up first. First room horrible, was switched to another disgusting room. Tried other hotels but sold out. Hair on the pillows, sheets looked like tried to bleach out blood but didn’t work. Ironing board so nasty who would touch it. Microwave nasty. Lamp shades looked like blood splatters. Bathtub dirty. Thank God I brought plenty of blankets. We slept on top of their covers.

I am a nurse and travel to Rome frequently for weekly nursing assignments. Although I am very familiar with the area, this was my first time staying at this hotel, so I made sure to be cautious and inspect the room thoroughly upon arrival. The room initially appeared clean, and I checked the mattress and bedding for any visible issues before settling in. After getting off work the next morning, I showered and laid down briefly. I felt what seemed like a bite but did not see anything and assumed it was related to my sensitive skin. Later that evening, after returning from dinner, I showered again and lay down while using my laptop. At that point, I noticed multiple bite marks on my elbows. When I pulled back the covers, I discovered bed bugs. I immediately packed my belongings and went to the front desk to report the issue and request a full refund. I was only provided a partial refund, despite the seriousness of the situation. Due to an approaching winter storm, hotel availability in the area was extremely limited, leaving me scrambling late at night to find alternative accommodations. This experience was unacceptable, and for health and safety reasons, I would not recommend this establishment. Spoke with Management and they denied claim as if these bites just appeared out the blue

The entire hotel was Non Smoking. But apparently the Non Smoking rule only applied to cigarettes. Elevators and hallways were always filled with pot smoke. So if you allow one why not allow both?

Room climate control worked nicely. Room was clean and comfortable. Lobby and breakfast area well-maintained and furnished nicely. Front desk attendant pleasant. Parking sufficient and well-lit.

Hallways dimly lit. Room numbers should be updated to a more pleasing display. Children running hallways and loud talking in hallways late night both children and adults. No USB or charging ports in room. Children created chaos in breakfast area being allowed to serve themselves. Garbage overflowing in breakfast area.

Location and price were great.
