Hotel Tranzzit

+ Friendly staff + Comfortable and spacious room + Great location as it is near Gara de Nord and about 10 min walk away from the shopping area + Good value for money - The bathroom was nice but the thing that holds the shower on the wall was broken (in room 1) - Not many things on the breakfast table

I want to write this review because I honestly had a great time there. The hotel is lovely! The area is so peaceful and the staff is so friendly, helpful and really cute. I loved the rooms the most; very spacious, warm, nicely decorated and always clean. I recommend it and I will return to whenever I get the chance.

While I do understand this hotel offers a good value for the money, having cockroaches in the room is an absolute no-no. I've encountered them in my first, third and fourth (and last) night there. Reported to the reception on the third night, but they didn't handle the problem. My friends didn't have the same problem in their room, it seems. Rooms were warm, which is important if you visit Bucharest in winter. The hotel itself is decent, staff was generally helpful. We were surprised too see a simple breakfast buffet prepared for us (croissants, coffee, milk, corn flakes, fruits), although we haven't payed for a breakfast option. The hotel has a friendly attitude to animals - there are pet turtles and a cute stray cat is allowed to inhabit the halls. The neighborhood is a bit suspicious looking, because there are a lot of abandoned buildings around, but in a few days you realize that's how neighborhood in Bucharest look in general.

Very clean hotel, close to Bucharest centre. We stayed 3 nights, the service was very good, the room rates were very affordable. Sadly no parking, but there was no problem finding a parking spot on the street in front of the hotel.

This Hotel is a little gem, it is on a backstreet a bit far from all the main entertainment areas, but thats a good thing and the taxis are cheap The rooms are spotless, large bed and very comfortable For Kebab lovers there is a local Kebab shop just around the corner and they are excellent and cheap, large chicken kebab, chips and a large tin of beer for less than 4 euros ! Its been my local ! Back to the Hotel, the staff are all very friendly and most are fluent english I can definately recommend this hotel to anyone, on a budget or not ! John

being there for one night during a transit to Sulina, had been really welcome from the woman at the reception. + small but nice and tidy, good service, we had to leave earlier then breakfast time so we had been served even if in advance really kind persons, accepting euros or local currency, they also gace us a reduction as used the facebook voucher

We stayed here in early September for one night, choosing it for it's close proximity to the train station and it's price (we were on a budget!). The room we stayed in was very big, clean and comfortable, with a good sized and clean bathroom. The staff were always really sweet and friendly. I'd totally recommend this if you are on a budget and want to stay on a quiet sidestreet. The breakfast bit of the B&B was pretty basic though, packaged croissants and a pot of coffee.

If you're in Bucharest on business or don't have to stay there for a long time, Tranzzit is a good and relatively cheap hotel. I stayed here when I went to see Bon Jovi's concert. July is a hot month in Romania and in Bucharest it's even hotter, so a hotel room with AC is a must. Fortunately, Tranzzit has air conditioned rooms and I used it intensely. It's 1,2 km from the train station - that's very close!
