Holiday Inn Salem by IHG

Stayed here as part of a road trip across the USA. The spacious room is a bit tired needs a lick of paint. Staff helpful especially in the restaurant. We had the breakfast which is not a buffet style but made to order. There was a good selection of offerings on the menu as well. Plenty of parking and the room was quiet. The shower had a curtain which is rather outdated and the shower floor is quite slippery so we had to put down a towel to stop losing footing.

Great service, friendly staff and comfy bed! Pool was super warm and the hot tub was hot! They even let us get a last minute late check out for 1130! Will come back

The lady at the front desk was nice, it was nice to have convenient parking and no extra fee for a pet and the restaurant Margarita adjacent to the hotel was good. The actual beds were not bad.

I was not expecting luxury and I am not one to complain easily, but I was quite disappointed with Holiday Inn Salem by IHG. The hotel was outdated and room had a musty, moldy smell. We walked in to the sofa bed not made despite booking the room for 4. We did quickly get linens from the front desk and made the bed ourselves. I had called the hotel in advance to make sure the sofa bed in the 4-person suite is suitable for grown ups to sleep in and was told it is. It turned out it was not. On top of sinking through the springs of the sofa bed the noise from the hallway kept us up all night. All in all, our stay was a part of a road trip and this night was easily the worst but also easily the most expensive.

Annie the waitress at breakfast was fantastic very attentive and polite . The food was so-so breakfast vegetables were out of a can had them in a skillet one morning and omelet the next morning both times they were nasty so I hade pancakes the next day.

I frequent this hotel for both business and family. I choose this hotel because the people that work here continuously go above and beyond to make their regular guests feel as comfortable as possible. Every agent that I’ve encountered has been highly considerate. Laura specifically has earned a gold star in this review for always having a solution to any problem my family and I bring to her! I will continue to return to this establishment for not just the accommodation, but the personal :-)

We stayed here for a wedding and arrived late after a day of traveling. The location is extremely convenient to I-93 and easy to find- which makes sense, since that's in the name of the hotel. There is plenty of parking, and the check-in process went smoothly. Everyone we've encountered has been friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the hotel, which was extremely convenient, and honestly really good for a hotel breakfast. Our server Annie was friendly and did a stellar job, especially since she was the only person working the entire dining room on a fairly busy Saturday morning. The rooms are clean, comfortable and updated, and everything works as expected. It's not fancy, but it's exactly what you expect of a contemporary holiday inn property. My only comment is that when you book your room, you should request one that doesn't face the highway, or is on a lower floor. The proximity to the highway leads to some road noise bleeding over, especially on higher floors without the benefits of other buildings + trees to block the noise. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you're a light sleeper I could see it being an issue.

Annie was a great server. The food came out quick and delicious especially for a hotel chain restaurant. It is definitely worth stopping in for if you are in the area. Staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I hope you enjoyed reading this review.
