Super 8 by Wyndham Atchison

No elevator made it very inconvenient for he large amount of items we brought for our stay. Otherwise, it was a decent stay. Nothing great, nothing horrible.

Just a stop on the road. Fairly comfortable but musty smelling. Terrible breakfast. Coffee was half strength, didn’t even drink it.

I had made reservations for a room for me and my friend at least 2 or 3 weeks in advance. I received a variety of "enjoy your stay " type of messages from Expedia. Was encouraged and thought all was well. But upon arrival to the motel yesterday, we were informed that they were having plumbing issues and the previous guests left the room in a mess. The desk clerk checked her bookings but, unfortunately, no other rooms were available. So this gal was going to submit the paperwork for a full and complete refund on my credit card. Fortunately we were able to locate a room at Quality Inn and thus enjoyed our stay there. The desk clerk was very accommodating and helpful. I was very upset inasmuch as I wondered if they were having issues, why they did not call me to advise so that we could look into another room earlier since it seemed that they were having issues earlier in the day. We were just glad that we did not wait until the last minute to check our reservation with them. I doubt that I will attempt any further reservations with Super 8.

This worked out well for the Amelia Earhart Festival and the price was reasonable. It was better than I expected. It felt close to everything. The room felt spacious. The sheets and bathroom looked clean, the bed and air conditioning were very comfortable. I appreciated having the television, fridge, and microwave. The shower felt AMAZING! I loved the water pressure. However, the room had a dirty, wet mop smell, making it unpleasant upon entering the room. I did not use the breakfast area due to dietary restrictions.

Breakfast was lacking ! No waffle mix when we came for breakfast!

Our stay was great! I am handicapped and the front desk was accommodating to my needs for services. Thank you!

Great customer service, wonderful water pressure!

Property was old, TV didn't work. There were bed frames much larger than the mattresses and you can easily hit your foot, leg etch on the oversize bed frames. Staff was Ok, slow and hard to understand. Breakfast wasn't much of breakfast, watered down OJ & milk. Bed was wrapped looked like hotel staff in plastic wrap. Ceral was old and not crunchy the only other choice was bananas or waffles. Coffee was ok but they were out of creamer. Won't try that hotel again at any rate.

We've stayed here many times but they put me in a room downstairs, I requested ground level floor for my disability (I can't do stairs very well) and there were fleas in the room which got all on me. Thankfully, they put us in a room where I wanted to be & no fleas.
