Sonesta Maho Beach All Inclusive Resort Casino & Spa

Absolutely loved my stay at this resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The resort itself was beautiful, clean, and relaxing with amazing views and great amenities. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was delicious, and there was always something fun or peaceful to do depending on the vibe you wanted.

Surprised my mom for her 80th birthday and we loved it. The resort was nice but the treatment from the staff was really what made the stay wonderful. Everyone was really welcoming and friendly and the hospitality was superb. Here is a list of people that stood out. Ramon at the main lobby bar, Sharon and her team at the buffet, and Catherine at the Cantina. Thank you all so much for making our stay unforgettable. We will be returning!

Jackie at the front desk was amazing from start to finish! We arrived as a group of six to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and she truly went above and beyond. When I mentioned that I had requested a special treat for the room, Jackie checked and noticed the request hadn't gone through—but she didn't let that stop her. She personally ensured the surprise was waiting for us by the time we walked into our room. Huge shoutout to her for the exceptional service and for making our celebration so special. Sonesta Maho Beach was booked with friends, in Winter 2025. One couple was booking their second trip while another couple saw Sonesta for the first time. Luck would have it, we all had rooms on the sixth floor, which was great. Rooms were clean; our flights were good and lobby service, excellent. The entire trip, meals, accommodations, and entertainment was top shelf. A few mentions... You could use some non alcoholic beers on the premise. And perhaps some "mocktails" as well. We purchased Heineken 0 at the Maho Mart. There were many guests around the pool asking where we'd gotten the beer. Entertainment was outstanding. Life music at the pool was great. Foods were excellent in EVERY restaurant. Help extremely accommodating! Waiting for flight prices to go down and we will def be back, next Spring!

A személyzet a lehető legrosszabb!!! Neveletlen bunkó emberek!!! Kivéve néhány de tényleg nagyon kevés személyzeti embert!!! Egy éjszakát töltöttünk el az elutazásunk előtt. A bejelentkezéskor közölték hogy a szoba még nincs kész.Jeleztem hogy délután négy órakor van a bejelentkezés és mivel ez elhúzódott a manager felajánlott 50 USD kedvezményt amit megköszöntem de jeleztem hogy ez nem a pénzről szól hanem hogy egy egy éves csecsemővel utazunk és szeretnénk a szobát megkapni ami nagy nehezen meg is történt kb negyven perces késéssel. A nagy sietségben a Mini bárt nem töltötték fel és a kérésünk ellenére sem tették meg egészen este tíz óráig amikor jeleztem a “kedves”recepciósnak Jasmin- nak aki nemes egyszerűséggel megkérdezte tőlem hogy este akar a gyerek inni..? Akkor jeleztem hogy ez a viselkedés nem helyes és kérem a nevét és a felettesével szeretnék beszélni egyszerűen faképnél hagyott és bement az irodába A biztonsági szolgálatos mondta meg a nevét és egy másik recepciós nagy nehezen odahívta a felettesét aki nagyon kedves volt de ennyi.Elnézest kért és ezzel el volt intézve minden.

We just returned from a week-long vacation (April 25–May 2). While the resort itself is գեղեցիկ and has potential, our overall experience was disappointing—primarily due to the food and service. As a breast cancer thriver, I follow a clean, gluten-free and dairy-free diet. I was hopeful there would be accommodating options, but choices were very limited, and the staff was largely unwilling to help. I was especially looking forward to fresh fish, which unfortunately fell short in both quality and preparation. There were many shellfish offerings, but as I’m allergic, those weren’t an option. I traveled with a longtime friend who has no dietary restrictions, and she also found the food underwhelming. Service was another challenge. We did not find the staff to be particularly friendly or helpful—especially in the dining areas, where interactions often felt curt and unwelcoming. There were also a few maintenance and cleanliness concerns. I found a cockroach in my room on the 7th floor. After calling the front desk, it remained in the hallway for much of the day before being addressed. On a positive note, when we experienced an issue with a leaking AC unit, it was fixed promptly. One additional surprise was that yoga was not included as part of the resort’s activities. Instead, it was offered at an additional cost ($25 for a small group session or $50 for private), which felt like a missed opportunity for a wellness-focused amenity. Overall, while the property itself has appealing aspects, the lack of quality food options, unaccommodating service, and cleanliness concerns made this stay fall short of expectations.
