DoubleTree by Hilton LAX - El Segundo

Warmly greeted by the front desk and had an easy check in experience. Also called room service and they came quickly to bring me clean pillows.

The room was kind of dirty - not necessarily from the maids or anything but just from the supplies like the pillows were nasty and the comforters/sheets had random stains. The toilet kept running the whole time I was in there.

This is a very low quality hotel for having the Hilton brand attached. As a diamond member I stay a lot at Hilton properties, and this has to be one of the worst. The pool area looked dirty and unkept, each floor had caution tape And what looked like trash bags blocking off where the ice was supposed to be, I had to walk floor by floor to find ice. The shuttle very inconveniently doesn't start till 6am, even though lots of flights are before that, and they wanted to charge $30 for 2 people to be shuttled at 5am. You can get a Lyft for half of that. That was the main reason I picked this hotel, and I can't even use it. The room was very dated and not maintained well. The shower floor is stained, the bathroom sliding door wouldn't shut more than 3 quarters, and the bed was two twin beds pushed together with a king mattress on top. On top of that there was paint chipping in the bathroom. This had to be one of my worst experiences with a Hilton branded hotel, and something you'd expect from a days inn or lower quality hotel that is significantly cheaper. I will not be back, there's so many better hotels in the area. I should've stayed at the Hilton again on century blvd

Locations was hidden in between buildings. No views, no near by dinning. The pool and outdoor hangouts were old, outdated, dusty, it wasn’t a vibe environment. The rooms seemed depressing, barely any lighting, the lobby was HOT no air conditioning. I hated staying there overall. I wouldn’t recommend it at all….
