Hampton Inn St. Louis - Westport

Property was below average for cleanliness. Did not have enough lighting in the bathroom or bedroom Air vent in bathroom had mildew on it. Carpet was dirty. Overall property was below average compared to other Hampton Inns I’ve stayed in.

Booked for a business event. Prior to checking in that day, I was hospitalized with an illness. A family member (traveling with me) attempted to use the reservation. The front desk person wanted to see a copy of my identification, credit card, reservation confirmation, etc. which were with me - in the hospital. He left and stayed at Homewood Suites. We will be using Homewood suites when doing business in St. Louis from now on.

The room was awful! There were wires exposed, the ac unit had the block exposed and was being propped up by some kind of wooden plank. There were scuffs all over the walls. The towels were yellow stained. And the hallways smelled like weed. For $135 dollars I expected better than this.

Service

Our stay was disappointing. We stayed here two years ago. At that time, the hotel was clean and well maintained. This trip found the hotel run down, and one of the elevators was out of service. Per the maintenance crew, the elevator has been out of service for several months. It was terribly inconvenient for all of the guests, as the hotel was full.

When I checked in to my room the heat wasn’t working very loud room cold I called front desk guy came up and tried to fix it he couldn’t said he would move me he didn’t the unit was loud my whole stay I didn’t have the energy to keep going back and forth so I stuck it out they staff should always check on there guests especially when there’s a problem no one ever checked on me not once I’m glad I know how to take care of myself

Towels horrible Bath room toilet had major issues

Very loud. Toilets so low we felt we were sitting on the ground. Bed was average comfort
