Best Western Plus Gilbert/Mesa

The AC didn't work well. TV remote did not work even after the change of batteries. Shower had standing water and didn't drain well. My check in took longer than expected due to motel not having my reservation information. Check out went well.

Its an older property and the bath reflected its age but was ok. The hallway carpet was badly stained but the room carpet was dark colored and seemed to be clean.

Staff was very friendly and curious.

The Hotel room was nice and comfy and relaxing. The deposit fee was the only part that throw me off because it went from $20 a night to instant $100 a deposit. Dont know the reason why. Parking was easily assemble.

Check in was slow due to the computers being extremely slow. The staff were all friendly and nice but you can tell they're frustrated by how slow the computers were. The room itself was nice, clean, basic. We stayed on the third floor and the hallway reeked of pee, like a thousand dogs came through and kept marking on top of each other. Their signage says they don't allow pets so I really hope it was dogs. Luckily the room did not smell and it suited our needs for a road trip stay.

Christine mcclellan at the desk was very nice. The lady running the breakfast was also very pleasnt and friendly doing the hard job of keeping people away from and serving the food due to covid rules. She smiled and was nice to all. Both are assets to your staff.

I really like the friendliness of the staff. They make you feel welcome.
