New Haven Village Suites

The room was very unsatisfactory. The property was old and unkept. They had long-term renters on the property. The carpet had burns and the wallpaper was peeling. The vents in the kitchen was dirty and the tub had rust.

I have never written a bad review until now. I cannot possibly capture all the issues. We were staying over night for a surgery the next day. 1] full garbage bags were in the walkways 2] above us the individual was smoking and up with noise ALL night doing god knows what...we found out later this was an extended stay location. 3] everything was dirty The absolute worst hotel experience of my life. As if all of this wasn't enough, the shower didn't work and a shower preoperatively in the am was part of the surgical instructions. The staff insisted the shower was in working order, refused to provide a new room or come to the room to investigate. We never slept, couldn't shower, and the towels reeked of smoke to dry off from a sponge bath. Run.

They're converting to apartments so the amenities have been cut back but this was a convenient location for us and inexpensive.

The staff was friendly but there was no hot water to shower and maintenance was slow coming to address the issue.

New owner. Canceled my free breakfast without notice. Not well kept. This place has longterm renters which changes everything. The first morning the neighbors pit bull / rot tried to attack me at my door. That occupant is in 924. Disappointed. Have stayed there before.
