Residence Inn Shelton Fairfield County

This property is definitely showing its age.

I was there wlfor 5 days and never has my room was serviced(sheets changed, fresh towels, etc) Also they wake me at 7AM to for a leak in the unit above me to empty the boiler. 2 hrs later i coupd not take a shower because the hot water was turned off.

Great room

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was also very nice and accommodating.

Nice place to stay in, very clean.

Smell of smoke in room. Smoke alarm chirped at night starting at 1. Fore alarm went off and no one could come fix it.

We were there for 2 nights for a dance competition in Bridgeport and it was perfect for our needs--we had 2 families sharing a room and it was very spacious. The full kitchen was great and the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom which was a big win. Breakfast was simple and fit our needs.

Extremely disappointed to be charged a $100 pet cleaning fee upon check in. The Fairfield Inn I stayed at the night prior told me it was optional and typically only charged if the room required extra cleaning. The TV didn’t work. When I called the front desk for assistance, it was suggested that I check the cables, as there were no maintenance people available.
