Residence Inn Shelton Fairfield County

We overall had a feeling of uncleanliness. It smelled like smoke & stuffiness when we entered each time. The throw pillows on the couch were filthy. And garbage cans were missing until we finally find them inside cabinets. There was a shortage of towels for the upstairs bedroom/bathroom. There was some sort of large beetle/lantern fly in the upstairs shower which was disgusting. Over all very disappointed with the quality of today’s Marriott affiliates. The check in woman was sweet and kind-but honestly that was the only positive. Thankful we only needed one night stay. Will not return & will def think again before booking a residence Marriott.

Customers shouldn't have to pay for parking after paying for there stay

Room was very clean, breakfast was really good and staff very friendly.

This hotel does not meet Marriott standard. Marriott should do audit on this property because more than 60% of occupants are weed smokers and have made the place and environment very bad full of marijuana and weed smell. Units are smelly and in very rundown condition. I have not seen a Marriott property this bad. Front desk people are very rude and in particular one of the employee named Brittany comes across very angry and full of sarcasm. They do not respect and treat the customers properly and they do not even care about Marriott elite status

My stay was great, no problems. The breakfast was good and the location was perfect for my work needs.

Housekeeping should know when a room is empty. Got a knock on the door before 10am. Was hoping to sleep a little longer before 12 pm check out. Overall good stay. Front desk staff are outstanding and welcoming.

We had a reservation yesterday until today where I my daughter’s 10th birthday at your establishment. When I was able to check in ridiculously early, The room was ready and clean and more spacious than the pictures had depicted. I had the ability to set up the room just right and have all my questions answered prior to getting the birthday girl and her friends. Unfortunately, when I was leaving, I had asked about a fire pit that I found out wasn’t part of the property(but was listed on their main website). We stayed at the property because it had the fire pit and an outdoor pool versus another Property that had an indoor pool specifically so the girls could make s’mores at night. Obviously, I wasn’t pleased considering on the website there are pictures of a fire pit, and it is detailed in the amenities. I have never been more touched and impressed by a property as I was yesterday when we returned to find the same manager, I had spoken with finishing setting up a fire pit. He had gone out and purchased it, set it up and had it ready for the girls to use. I would recommend this property to anybody considering they Really value their guests and their happiness. Needless to say, my daughter was thrilled and had the best time making s’mores!
