Hampton Inn Columbia-I-26 Airport

Never been to a Hampton inn anywhere that breakfast opened until 10, but at 9:10 they stopped bringing hot food out. Kitchen staff lady i only saw here when I went to complain to the on duty clerk. The GM wasn't in the building. The clerk gave me their business card, called, voicemail full. Kitchen lady stated that she was only doing what the Manager instructed her to do, which im not sure I believe or not since she was sitting in the office when she came out to speak to me. Absolutely ridiculous. Worst managed Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at in my life, and I have stayed in many.

Great staff, clean room

When I checked in the guy at the front was very nice and helpful

Parking was ok I didn't have use for the Shuttle.

The hotel was very good and when we arrived went in to check to make sure they had our reservations and because we were early to find out about how to get to Fort Jackson the staff told us that we could check in even though we were early

The location is near lots of places I like.

First I replied to the text then when no reply I called to report the carpet was wet, and the refrigerator had an order. I was told I’ll report it. Then the floor in front of the door on the 1st floor was wet my daughter slipped but didn’t fall I reported that one the 1st call. I was not asked to switch rooms. So I went to use the bathroom and I may not look disable but I am the floor was wet I called back he said okay then I was eventually asked did I want to change rooms. So I said yes I was switched to a one bedroom my reservation was for 3 adults and a child. So then my husband went back down stairs we were giving a 2 bedroom. We had a 8 month old scheduled for surgery the next morning we were tired he was on a no milk restriction and now we all are so tired because all that moving around last night until we didn’t rest well last night. Very disappointed because I’m not use to this from your hotel but I will say the front desk was polite. But $142 was wasted I could have stayed free at my son house or pay $55 at a cheap hotel and not deal with that last night. And all I was told was maintenance will be alerted and we sorry. SMH I’m going to have to think real hard before I book there again, because I feel like more should have been done. And I wasn’t going to do a review, but I didn’t get a follow up call or email about the mishap last night.
