OYO Hotel Hutchinson West 4th Ave

We showed up to check in and found out that the hotel was closed for business and had been sold a month prior and was going through a remodel. I was told my deposit would have to be refunded by hotels.com. and that they had no idea if i would be charged for the stay or not. After an hour and a half of jumping through hoops and being extremely hacked off hotels.com was able to snag the last room in town for me. I got no calls/ emails from oyo hotels, hotels.com or the new owners about the hotel closing. The bad thing is that i am booked at the same closed hotel the weekend after this and our state fair is going on meaning there is next to zero chance of me finding a room for next weekend and i was told just to wait to hear from us about that by hotels.com. i already have tickets and a whole weekend planned out but I'm suppoed to wait? Moral of the story, call the hotel and confirm your reservation prior to taking off on your trip. Thank god this weekend worked out, i dont feel so good about the next one working out.

Terrible experience! When we arrived the hotel was closed for some reason! They were emptying the rooms and the windows were papered over! We had no option but to drive home, 3 hours, after our concert at the State Fair! 😡

Room appears to be clean

Guy at the front desk charged another $10 as a "service fee" . I was mislead as to the actual cost of the room. You should include the "service fee" into the price quoted

The bathroom was absolutely disgusting it looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time I ended up cleaning the entire bathroom before I could even use the toilet or take a shower

Price was good for a quick 2 night stay with no hotel downtime. But I would never stay here again.

Everything was old and stained. Door didn't lock properly. Extra chain was broken. Towels had holes. Lots of cigarette burns on everything.

Property charged me significantly more than the advertised price by adding an add on charge at check in. The price you see is not the price you pay here. What a scam. Property is rundown with maintenance issues. No amenities were offered. Pick another hotel.

Room was dirty and they were extremely rude.
