Hyatt Regency Sacramento

Great location - nice, comfortable, clean hotel - great front desk/valet staff. Easy to get to from the freeway and parking access was fine.

When I went to the hotel, I was expecting everything to be perfect because it’s so very nice when I look at the online pictures and how the Hotel is kept when I arrived there I was being looked at as if I wasn’t supposed to be there because of the color of my skin. I was not expecting these type of things I ordered a handicap room that was supposed to have a couch in it. I did not get that. I did get a chair and I didn’t get the handicap room. It was a little bit of an argument to get what I paid for but at the end of the day I did get what I wanted, but I did not get the couch just a small chair. The rooms were stated that they had queen size beds. The rooms are more like full size beds. the room was very clean some of the furniture needs to be replaced in there for the price of the room. Headboards are no good. There isn’t a microwave in the room at all when I left to go visit some friends and family. I did ask for more tissue and more towels, I did not get that in my room although they did make up our beds I expected more from this room or should I say hotel anyhow thank you for letting us stay. Loved the pool area

Attending a conference two blocks away, this was a close by hotel. I walked to the Capitol and grounds after dinner one evening, also close by. Comfortable rooms, accommodating, friendly staff. I'd stay here on a return trip.

Nice hotel and staff

The location of the hotel was great. If you stay on the back side, the noise from the cable car/ train is annoying. It runs late and starts early. There was also construction on the south side at 10pm at night. The front desk staff was helpful at check in. When I checked out, and brought up that the water bottles in the room weren’t labeled with a price, he said, “the Hyatt elite members know that they’re free”. But how is a regular person supposed to know? I thought they were complimentary but they are not!

It’s an older hotel and feels its age. The lobby is dated. My room was very dark. You couldn’t go out on the balcony because a lock kept the door from opening more than a few inches. Rugs were a bit threadbare and furniture pretty cheap. Great bed and pillows and good sleep. Bathroom has plenty of counter space but oddly only one small sink. The restaurant is often sold out and the bar packed — without much staffing — because the hotel is right across from the Capitol building. And fair warning. There is a huge construction project right across the street that’s really noisy. Work begins at 7am and ends at 7pm. If you want quiet, ask the front desk for a room away from the project. The upside? Staff, especially front desk, is friendly and willing to go the extra mile.
