Hampton Inn Columbus/Dublin

I got there and Hampton Inn Suites said I did not have a reservation and the hotel was full. Thanks for nothing!

Front desk staff exceptional

Wasn't give the correct bill. Bill not itemized. New bill didn't show the days i added to my stay. No bowls or plates during one continental breakfast. No water in gym water dispenser. Staff/cleaning staff kept barging into room ignoring the do not disturb sign and not knocking first on four separate occasions. The front desk staff are pleasant (sans one) and do try to resolve the issues. New staff not being properly trained to NOT barge in while you sleep or bath in your hotel room/bathroom is terrifying, and sudden busy days caused the most issues. Only one elevator worked and the stairs sign discouraged you from using stairs unless its an emergency. Ended up waiting more than five minutes just to get from and to my room. Staff with large carts and guests were stuck waiting on the one day. I know these guys can do better because they have done better on previous years. I had to use the extra safety lock on my door to keep staff from barging into my room. I'd still get startled when the door was forced against it while being opened so I would hear a sudden, loud bang. I would call out and I would either here a sorry, or nothing, and I open my door to them quickly walking away to another room. I can overlook most other issues but I shouldn't have to question my safety and privacy. Train the cleaning staff. Make sure there's bowls and plates for continental breakfast. Had to eat out of a cup during one breakfast but I'm assuming that was due to the hotel being fully booked up.

No microwaves in room

A quiet place to stay and rest!!!!!!

Liked the shower. Liked the extra heavy blanket in the closet to use if we needed it which I did. Liked the free cookies at check the check-in desk. Liked the pool even though the water was nearly ICE COLD!! Liked the free breakfast the first morning only.

They said check in was at 4:00 p.m. normally at any other Hotel it's 3:00 p.m. Toilet in our room did not work correctly. Not enough towels, had to request extra. No microwave in our room. On day 2 the free breakfast ran out of many foods 90 minutes before the end time. And the attendant said she couldn't refill it!! A car without a handicap placard or license plate was parked in a handicap parking spot clearly marked with a sign. We reported it at the desk, but even though she said she would find out who would belong to and ask them to move and then call our room. There was no way she could do that because they no longer ask what kind of car you have or the license plate number. So she only said that to placate us. Maybe they need to start asking for that information again. I

Pool didn’t work and WiFi was hard to get set up

The staff was wonderful and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Everyone was great.
