Hotel all'Azzurro

The location is unbeatable! Hotel All'Azzurro is directly on the lake and has beautiful views of Lake Garda and the surrounding area. We rented a car to drive there and had to park a ways from the hotel, but they picked us up and brought us and our luggage directly to the hotel.

Good location, decent breakfast, and the nice service of the luggage shuttle staff

Dishonest front desk. Upon arrival, instead of explaining that they did not have my lakeview balcony room and offering apologies which I would have understood, they tried to sneakily give me an inferior interior facing room (different building and with broken shower drain) without explanation, hoping I would not notice. When I entered the room realizing it was not the room I booked, I had to confront the front desk, to which they hastily offered to fully compensate the next morning to quiet me. By next morning, they suddenly balked, and only after vigorous insisting did they compensate merely the difference in room price and with no apologies. That’s the least they should offer and I shouldn’t have to fight for it. I understand when rooms are overbooked or if a room suddenly has a problem. However it’s DISHONEST to not clearly explain the situation, trying to pass off a different room hoping the customer would not notice. They also lied about “full compensation no problem” to convince me to stay the night. Otherwise I could have the option to go elsewhere and not be forced to pay for a terrible room. If they simply explained from the beginning the room was unfortunately not available and offered to comp for even just the room price diff, I would be fine about it. Dishonesty leaves a bad taste.
