Staff was so friendly and welcoming. The cottage was very small but clean. Lots of stuff to do. Main house had lots of room to and all kinds of board games. They also have canoes and kayaks. Even though our cabin was tiny, being able to go to the huge main house made it nicer. The house is on the Historic Registry and beautiful with a huge wrap-around porch with comfy chairs. Would definitely return!

What an amazing Resort! Full of history and old charm. Beautiful huge covered porch that faces the lake. A perfect location for relaxing, reading or enjoying a beverage with friends. Huge spacious common rooms in the hotel building. Wonderful pictures of days gone by. I will definitely come back.

I had the whole place to myself on a Monday. I’ll never forget it.

Incredibly kind and helpful staff; well-preserved historical building; lots of character in each room; family-friendly with many indoor and outdoor activities; lovely water view and long outdoor porch to enjoy. A little too rustic and old-fashion for me; bedrooms and bathrooms could use a renovation.

The facilities are dated but sufficient and clean. Excellent location close to wineries and restaurants. Kayaks and paddle boards to use, game room and you cannot beat the amazing view!!

Loved the whole property. Staff was very helpful. Front porch was awesome for morning coffee and a glass of wine at night just to hang out and enjoy the beautiful lake.

Actually loved everything

Step back in time to this lovely 1880’s lake resort that was welcomed generations of families. With its cottages and inn offering many options. There are bits, canoes, kayaks to use as well as beach toys and floats. Outdoor games are plentiful and an entire room of pool, ping pong, hockey, etc. Lake Leelenau is a beautiful large inland lake perfect for swimming and boating. Paradise!!
