It was convenient

People should know that this is a "hostel", not a hotel. Baths are down the hall and may be occupied when needed. Shower stalls were very tight and the floor slippery when wet. The fine print" was not disclosed until after the booking was made. Transport to/from the airport (several miles) cost over $40.00 if the host is not available. Communication with the host was awlful. Phone calls and emails were not responded to. No check-in info was received from host until the day before our arrival. Since our plane arrived late in the day, we literally didn't know how access our room until the day before our arrival. The basic "buffet breakfast was pretty sparse. On one day there was no bread left to make toast. Once there, the experience got much better. the host was helpful with advice, etc. The return ride to the airport was appreciated and saved us $40.

Staff helpful ,location nearest airport ,shuttle transfer provided.Simple breakfast start at 3am. We can see the northern lights infront of guesthouse when we stayed . Highly recommended

what a dump! extremely small room, didn't feel clean, threadbare sheets. very much like a dorm room. nowhere to put clothes. breakfast was serve yourself bread and cheese from a fridge. overpriced, even for Iceland. the only plus was free transport to and from the airport. and a working television. otherwise ugh.

Since it is a guesthouse you don't really have much contact with anyone than at check-in. When I was booking a room I wanted a reasonable priced room that made me feel like I was in Iceland. It was great place to stay. The breakfast was 3 AM-10AM breakfast hours and it was self service. Of course that meant that you has to make it from the options that they offered and clean up after yourself which was fine and most people did. There was no daily housekeeping which was fine for no longer then we were there. I would like to go back to Iceland again. I would definitely stay here again.

it's alright. Definitely not worth the price.

The manager refused to pick us up at the airport saying our flight was too late (23:40). The next day refused to give us a ride to airport @ 9AM. As cell phone reception was marginal we were stranded for 90 minutes. Finally a helpful cleaning staff was able to call a taxi.. So we went way over budget paying for a taxi. I suggest NOT staying here unless you have a car rental.

Walls paper thin, mattress and sheets paper thin, bathroom in state of disrepair. Pay the bit extra to go somewhere where you will actually be able to sleep
