Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Airport

Air condition didn't work 4 times the man come to check and it doesn't work. No body tell us that the parking cost 100 ron.

Clean, quiet, a great Hilton. Very close walking distance to the airport. it is not 5 to 10 min... it is a 3-minute walk for me! I also loved the restaurant. I had a great duck - cooked to perfection and a great Romanian assorted salad (tomatoes and cucumbers). After 30 years in the US, I always miss this salad! (I am Romanian-born). Lots of great tourists and business people, but they are civil and do not make much noise - thank you, people! Great receptionists, great cooks, and great cleaners.

The mattresses were not Hilton style. They were like a Romanian Firm Relaxa style - quite hard to sleep on. Nevertheless, I will give the hotel a 10/10 because the staff and food were great and it was perfect for my very early early morning departure - Uber is pretty good from the city (normally 30 min, but up to 1 hour if the highway DN1 gets blocked ... and there are many blockages due to vacation travel, accidents, and construction work). Do NOT rent apartments near the airport. They seem like they are within walking distance, but the roads are blocked with construction fences, airport fences, and security walls. THIS IS THE ONLY AIRPORT YOU CAN WALK FROM TO THE TERMINAL - you do not need a shuttle, so the 200 Euros are worth it! (If you can afford it).
