Cromwell's Tap House

Good value, small room which was adequate for two nights.

Really quirky lovely place to stay. Clean and tidy. Staff were really friendly. The area was beautiful

Very good position, walking distance to all attractions. Traffic noise can be a problem early morning. Comfortable clean room.

Comfortable bed,we stayed in the king size room. Plenty of tea,coffee etc. Clean. Its an old building so yes its slopes,creeks but stay in a premium inn if you dont like that sort of thing. I did book a table and request for the dinning room,but was told there was nothing in the book to say that. When we looked at the menu,there was nothing we wanted. The couple by us had food and it looked ok. Staff pleasant but could do with recognising who is staying with them. All in all very pleasant, good location.

Stayed here for 1 night. The staff greeted us on arrival and check-in was swift and easy. We were shown to our room and all instructions given. There was a music event on all day which was a fantastic surprise. The atmosphere was brilliant. The food was fantastic on both days. Especially the Sunday roast which was cooked to perfection with the best gravy I have ever tasted. All of the staff were hard working, attentive and polite. But a special thanks to Nick and Ella who were especially helpful. We would definitely recommend Cromwells Tap House for a stay. We will definitely be back.

We had a good 1 night stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and good facilities, bathroom was clean and well stocked lovely fluffy towels. Hairdryer and vanity unit. We eat out in the town as we wanted Italian food. Great value for the money and would stay again.

A great period property. Room clean and well serviced by friendly staff. Bed long enough but too narrow for us, particularly as not budget room. Size limited by room probably. Good tea & coffee and room serviced daily if requested. Imagine room would get very hot in summer but fan provided. It's directly over a bar so you can hear music but all quiet after 11 on our stay but early sleepers may not like.10% discount offered on food and drink nice touch. Good beer garden. Easy access on foot to all city centre sights and bus stop outside. Beware Shrewsbury hills tho.
